Search Function:

The search function can be used to identify lease owners. To use this tool click on the search button (located in the toolbar) and designate the desired field. It should be noted that searching by Lease, Owner ID, or Quad requires information to be entered exactly. An incorrect search will not return results.

When a search is completed successfully, a result window will appear and the snapping tool will be available.

Identify Tool:

The identify tool can be used to gather more information about different layers within the map. Some layers with additional information are the DHH Harvest Area Grid, Cultch Plants, Closures, and Leases.

To use the identify tool click on the identify button (located in the toolbar) and click on a visible layer. It is possible that a layer will not have additional information available.

Coordinate Reports:

In order to generate a coordinate report, a successful search must be completed. After completing a successful search, click on the desired lease in the result window. By performing this action, the map will zoom to the desired lease and a link will appear in the Measurements and Locations window.

Snap Tool:

This tool can be used in conjunction with the coordinate report to accurately identify lease corners. In order to enable the snap tool, a successful search must be completed. After completing a successful search, click on the desired lease in the result window. By performing this action, the map will zoom to the desired lease.

Next, click on the location button in the Measurements and Locations window. After enabling the location tool, hold the control button on your keyboard and move the mouse over the selected lease. If this is done correctly, a crosshair will appear and the snap tool will be activated.
